Christmas in Stockholm

Standard

I should be sleeping, but I’m not sleepy O.O I’m tired, but not in a “I wanna go to bed”-sleepy way. Which ain’t so good ^^” I have to get up in about 6h to prepare for my Christmas-trip to Stockholm. It only takes an hour by train but still… The train leaves at 9.52… I’m going to meet a friend at 9.20 to walk down to the station (well have to walk fast XD), it takes about 10min to walk to her from my apartment… But before that I need to pack, have something to eat, take care of my pets (I don’t like to be a pet owner at times -_-”) and stuff like that…

Well well, I’ll just have to try and sleep… I’ll be back some time after Christmas, have a nice Holiday!

4 days of Christmas-stress to go!

Standard

All these Christmas-stuff-things is is stressing me out O.O I still don’t have all my gifts ready… Here in Sweden we celebrate during the evening of the 24′th and not during the 25′th like in the US and a lot of other countries. I’m hoping on finding the last gifts tomorrow… What an I-land problem… Can’t find enough gifts in a world full of unnecessary things -_-”

Why? Because I wanna!

Standard

Some of my friends have asked me, “Why? Why little Nina? Why do you blog in English?”. They all think I want more readers -_-” This won’t give me more readers, I believe this will give me less. There’s way to many blogs in English, if I write in Swedish I get a more narrow audience which will have an easier task in finding me. So why in English? It’s easy, I need to practice my English more! I talk in Swedish every day, I usually write in Swedish a lot everyday too… But nothing is in English. I don’t have any one to speak English with, so I have to do something too keep it going ^^ So I figured, lets blog!

But now, its sleepietime. It’s half past Midnight here in Sweden you see…

Stockholm Dog Fair 2011 or what the correct translation can be

Standard

I know! I know! I haven’t written anything about the dog fair, and that’s bad of me but I haven’t been in the mood and you should never blog about anything when your not in the mood. It just gets boring, bad written and everyone just wish you had kept your freaking mouth shut. Why I’m not in the mood you ask? Well, it’s rather simple. I have a cold, just like everyone ells. It’s irritating as hell, as most people probably know… It’s one of those that never really hits you… I’ve had it since the end of the summer and NOW it’s beginning to come forward… One tiny step at a time.

But any way… I’m going to make a tiny winy little summary of the Stockholms Hundmässa (Stockholm Dog Show). I was there mainly to watch the Finnish Lapphounds. I’ve been dreaming about getting one for a very long time, but never had the opportunity. I still don’t have but I keep on dreaming my little dream. The dogs where lovely, and I was able to ask some people the questions that’s been bogging me a bit about the breed. For example, if they fit in the environment that comes with a horse stable. One of my future wishes is to start horse riding again, and then I need a dog that won’t harass the horses.
My friend Lupus was mainly there to watch the Icelandic Sheepdogs, a breed that interests her. Of course we took the opportunity to watch some other breeds as well, for example the Ceskoslovensky Vlcak. A dog that has fascinated me for a long time but that I’ll never be able to take care of. If you wish, you may read about them here! All the dogs behaved very well, they where taking everything like as if it was a normal part of life… Accept one, it looked so sad and scared but the owner forced around in the ring anyway even tough it did everything it could too show it didn’t like it there. She nearly had to drag it across the floor because it was so scared it almost fell over when it walked O.O I couldn’t stay and watch that, so that’s when we left the rings completely.

Before the fair I was a bad girl and forgot my camera at home, so the only pictures I’ve got are crappy cell-phone pics… This is the best picture I got, and it says a lot!

Finnish Lapphound at Stockholm Dog Show Dog Fair Hundmässa 2011

It’s a lovely little Finnish Lapphound. I can’t understand how the dogs could handle that environment O.O They must be half saints! There where like 3 million people on every square inch, and they just sat there and let everyone pet them. It was loud as hell to, I could hardly hear my self think! I can tell you, both Lupus and I had headaches when we where on our way out. As soon as you step through those doors, in to the cool air… It was one of the most wonderful feelings I’ve ever had. I loved watching the dogs, but the rest of the environment was like hell. I generally don’t have problem with people, I like walking on Drottninggatan and The Old Town in Stockholm (all shoppers and tourists are on those streets (well, The Old Town is more than a street but you get my point XD)), but when there’s this amount of people confined in a building and the noise is at that level… Well, I think it drains strength from everyone O.O

Any way, kudos to those dogs!

My personal Goals!

Standard

Hello dear readers!

In perfect timing for the start of my blog, my internet decides it has to die. That’s the simple reason I’ve been unable to update my blog. It makes me a bit sad, but you have to take the bad with the good. I’ve borrowed my boyfriends computer and hope to write a bit more often than it has been now ^^”

As I wrote in my earlier post, I’m planing on changing my lifestyle a bit. I want to get healthier, I want to train and feel better. Now I just feel like a bit of sloppy pudding with lumps in it… And that’s not ok! But to change things you’ll have to set up goals. That’s what I’ll be doing today. I’m going to make short time-goals, middle time-goals and long time-goals. Let’s start!

Short time goals;

  • Train at least two times a week, any kind of training at all for at least 20min.
  • Wish for exercise equipment this Christmas.

Middle time goals;

  • Train at least three times a week for at least 30min.
  • At least one training a week has to be with weights.
  • Focus more on my problem areas like the back and hips.

Long time goals;

  • See it as a basic part of life to train at least three times a week.
  • Have a more healthy feeling in the body, no more back pain due to lack of muscles and so on!
  • Be able to jog for 30min without dying from lack of oxygen.
  • Be a bit more slim without loosing a lot of weight. I want to turn my excess fat to muscles, not just loose the fat.

I think these are great goals for now ^^ Maybe I’ll add something later on, or switch something on the list as the time goes on… We’ll just have to see! I know 20-30min don’t seem like much, but it says at least… Some days I’ll probably train a lot more then 20min, others I might not have the time or energy for a long session and then 20min will have to do!

This is all for now, I’ll probably come back later today or tomorrow and write about the Dog Fair a was at this Saturday with my bff Lupus. Until then!

An Introduction

Standard

Hello, and welcome to the re-opening of my blog. I think a presentation and explanation is in place here ^^

My name is Nina, its my real name and not a nickname. I live in Sweden, it’s not heaven on earth but I like it here. Born during the summer of 1990 and have spent most of my life in a Stockholm suburban mostly known for it’s high amount of immigrants. Now, I live in a town called Västerås.
Due to the reason that English ain’t my primary language, I will at times write things a bit odd. Pleas bear with it. Grammar has never been my strong point in life, so when I write in English I write in a Swedish way but with English words XD

The reason why I decided to re-open my blog is because I need some motivation. I’ve decided to try and live a bit healthier. No, this is not a blog about loosing weight because I don’t have to. But a good weight doesn’t mean that I live a healthy life.

I haven’t participated in any kind of regular exercise since… like 3 or 4 years ago when I had to stop horse riding. That has to change! I’ve decided to do some type of training at least 2 days a week as a start. I just have to figure out what I wanna do ^^”

Besides that I’ve decided to be a bit nicer to my body. As a project I’m going to do most of my own cleaning products like shampoo, soap, face masks and so one and so forth. Maybe, one day, I’ll do even more :3 For example lip balms. I bought some really cute pill-jars yesterday for example, I hope I can make some kind of home made lip gloss to have in them. But that will have to wait till after Christmas.
I can also tell every one that I LOVE cheap things, and plan on writhing things about it. For example I plan on doing a review on Shiro Cosmetics as well as Evil Shades Cosmetics as soon as my orders get here. Yes, I’m a make up girl and I’m a bit confused that you’ve not guessed that already…

I probably won’t change my diet at any huge degree, I already eat mostly vegetables and some fish and shellfish when I want something fancier. I decided not to eat red or white meat when I was about 13 and started excluding things from my diet after that. It wasn’t a clean brake from meat, but that made it easier for people around me (like my family) to adjust with me.

Besides all this, I live with a condition called Asperger Syndrome. No, that does not mean I’m retarded at any degree due to the fact that you have to do a IQ-test and be at least normaly talented to get the diagnose. For me, it mainly means that I have some trouble understanding people as well as I easily get tired and upset. Asperger is different for every one with the diagnose, just like every thing ells in the world :)

As you’ve probably guessed I’ll be writing more later so you get to know me a bit better. Until then, take care!
